Successful Financial Audit Confirms Sound Management of WUS Austria
We are pleased to share that, on 20 July 2026, WUS Austria successfully completed the financial verification of the SHER programme's second reporting period. The audit covered around €800,000 and confirmed the programme's sound financial management, transparent reporting, and effective implementation.
Despite a challenging political environment and institutional transitions in Kosovo, the programme continued to deliver tangible results and make steady progress towards strengthening the higher education and research system, including:
- Supporting higher education and research reforms aligned with European standards
- Contributing to the Kosovo Accreditation Agency's successful registration in the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR)
- Strengthening governance and quality assurance across public higher education institutions
- Advancing research, innovation, inclusion, and international cooperation through targeted funding schemes
These achievements demonstrate the resilience of the SHER programme in delivering meaningful impact, even in a complex and evolving policy environment.
In addition, the positive audit outcome confirms WUS Austria 's strong financial management and proven ability to coordinate complex international, multi-partner projects. It further reinforces our readiness to act as a trusted financial lead in future European and international programmes.
