EU4Green Online Pilot Training on Wastewater Management
From November 26-27, 2024, EU4Green held an online pilot training on Urban Wastewater Treatment Plant (UWWTP) Self-Assessment and Self-Monitoring under the thematic pillar Depollution Water within Green Education. The training was attended by more than 35 participants from across the Western Balkans including operators, scientists, planners and other wastewater experts.
This training addressed the growing demand for professional education and ensures adherence to evolving environmental and technological standards in wastewater management. Proper urban wastewater treatment is crucial for improving public health and environmental well-being. Participants explored essential aspects ranging from types and composition of proper treatment of municipal wastewater, operating and optimizing key wastewater treatment processes to monitoring and evaluating UWWTP performance among other key characteristics.
Participants will receive certificates of attendance to confirm their successful completion of this learning module.
WUS Austria supported in the design, preparation and implementation of this learning module and provided its educational expertise in the development and evaluation of such micro-credential formats. These micro-credential portfolios serve as educational tools that support professionals with tailor-cut knowledge needed to support environmental sustainability. The modules are designed to be flexible, allowing for stackable learning that can be customized to local and regional contexts.
