Project description
INARM (INFORMATICS AND MANAGEMENT: BOLOGNA-STYLE QUALIFICATION FRAMEWORKS) is a two-year multi-country project, under the EACEA N° 25/2011, 5th call and Higher Education and Society, Structural Measures action. INARM’s wider objective is to contribute to further improvement of Russian, Ukrainian and Armenian higher education by developing sectorial qualifications frameworks for informatics and management and promoting quality, coherence and relevance of the qualification awards.
The specific objectives aim to
• establish a platform for stakeholder active collaboration for identifying qualification requirements for bachelor and master students in the fields of informatics and management;
• develop sectorial qualifications frameworks (SQF) in the fields of informatics and management drawing on the National Qualifications Frameworks of the target countries and European Qualifications Framework;
• operationalize SQFs by introducing new learning outcomes for informatics and management in the partner countries.
The principal outcomes and outputs evolve around:
• Sectorial Qualifications Framework on informatics and management: BA and MA levels;
• Learning outcomes for BA and MA levels in informatics and management;
• Promoted relevance of the qualifications in informatics and management to the market needs;
• Established units managing sectorial qualifications frameworks in informatics and management and respective capacity building.
By joining the project the governments of the Armenia, Russia and Ukraine demonstrate high level of urgency of SQF development and awareness of the impact that high quality education and training has on a country in terms of sustainable economic growth and social development.
