Project description

Support will be provided for the implementation of all activities under the program, particularlyin tasks requiring specific capacities (institutional support,teacher training and disciplinary trainers) andtechnical tasks (communication, conducting conferences, workshops and seminars).
The overall objective of the programis to support the Ministry in its modernization process which affects several aspectsof the higher education sector: strengthening students' access to education(HE), enhancing capacity, quality assurance, meeting the needs of the labor market and industry. Based onthe sectoral policy of Algeria the specific objectives of the program to the Algerian government are to:
1. improve performance and quality of higher education;
2. strengthen the capacity of higher education and research, and
3. raise the level of human capital and its relevance to labor market needs.
