Project description

The project „Example of Excellence for Joint (Degree) Programme Development in South Eastern Europe“ aims at transfering multi-lateral know-how in the development of curricula for joint or double degree programmes by developing and implementing four joint (degree) programmes in the Western Balkan region. The implementation process will be accompanied by activities ensuring sustainability and quality assurance of the joint programmes and providing for a best practise model in the Western Balkan region. The project is constructed as a multi-country project. According to the results of the problem analysis a common model of joint curriculum development will be of great importance for the universities in the Western Balkans on their way to the European Higher Education Area. This includes a concise implementation of the Bologna reforms including the learner-centered approach. Curriculum development includes on the one hand the scientific aspects of the specific thematic field. On the other hand there exist a number of administrative and academic aspects which have to be tackled in the development process.
