Project description

The idea for the ASCENT project arose due to the current developments in the automotive industry in Latin America. Argentina, Brazil and Mexico are the most important countries for the automotive industry in Latin America with a strong focus on production. Still, all three countries and the companies situated there have the same need, namely the increase of experts on automotive engineering to increase development capacities and to further advancement of technological research which is essential for further economic growth related to the automotive industry.

The ASCENT project and the the competence centres which will be installed during the project lifetime will contribute to regional development and economic growth in Argentina and Mexico, whereas the competence centres in Brazil can be seen as a contribution to economic recovery in the automotive industry.

WUS Austria is responsible for the external quality assurance of this project. This includes the lead of the Quality and Ethics Board; three external QA reports incl. recommendations; and the support in the development of the QA plan.
