First Rector’s Online Meeting in Serbia

Belgrade. On June 13, the first online meeting of Rectors of Serbian public universities took place.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr Branko Kovacevic – rector of the University of Belgrade, Prof. Dr Radmila Marinkovic-Neducin – Rector of the University of Novi Sad, Prof. Dr Radoslav Bubanj – Rector of the University of Nis and Prof. Dr Milos Djuran – Rector of the University of Kragujevac.

The meeting is considered to be historical and opened a new era of inter-university communication and cooperation. The creation of the technical platform for this meeting started several years ago, through the eLearning Program of WUS Austria, when four University eLearning Centers (Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis and Kragujevac) were formed and equipped.

The Universities continued to pursue the ideas of our eLearning Program and upgrade the Centers, enabling important milestones like this one to be reached. The best example for that lies in the fact that the formal occasion for this meeting was the opening of the Multimedia Center of the University of Nis, which actually represents the advancement of the University eLearning Center.
