AtLETyC - Athletes Learning Entrepreneurship – a new Type of Dual Career Approach

In recent years many efforts are made in supporting
Entrepreneurship Education in Europe. Besides all the well-developed higher
education programs one important aspect is missing. There is no
Entrepreneurship Training provided for Athletes in Europe. This is a big loss
because it deprives Athletes of a promising opportunity and a big potential for
the society remains unaffected. The aim of AtLETyC project (AtLETyC – Athletes
Learning Entrepreneurship – a new Type of Dual Career Approach) is to develop
Training on Entrepreneurship in particular for elite Athletes to facilitate and
enlarge their educational opportunities and to enhance and stimulate Dual
Career approaches of sportspeople. The training will be composed of web-based
modules and face-to-face modules according the “Blended Learning”-Concept.

GOVERN: Fostering Autonomy and Accountability: Development of State-of-the-art Higher Education Management System for Efficient Changes in Line with Bologna Principles

The wider objective is to enable application of the state-of-the-art management system at Armenian HEIs for promoting effective and efficient structural changes in line with Bologna agenda thus enhancing HEIs autonomy and accountability. The specific objectives target enhancement of autonomy and accountability of HEIs through: - building on the capacity of administrative staff for managing system changes efficiently - revising the legal (system level) and regulatory (HEI level) frameworks in line with Bologna action lines; - establishing the state-of-the-art university management system through overhaul of approaches to system changes: strategic, financial and human resource management - introducing working approaches to student-centered educational provisions: ECTS and academic programme management to assure quality and promote student mobility. The principle outcomes/outputs include: - Building on capacity of top and middle level administration to enable Bologna action lines implementation; - New legal (system-wide) and regulatory (HEIs) frameworks in line with Bologna lines; - State-of-the-art management system based on new approaches to strategic and structural management, budget allocation, human resource management; - Indicators and criteria for academic programme and student mobility operationalization; - New approaches to managing academic programmes and office of academic affairs and registrar (installation of student portal and student affairs information management system). The HEIs are from a single CIS country – Armenia. It will allow deeper understanding of the needs of developing systems and customization to specific country and institutions priorities.

ideaLAB: Fostering students' entrepreneurship and open innovation in university-industry collaboration

The general objective of the project is to advance employment and self-employment potential of graduates from WBC and enhance innovativeness of companies by fostering students’ entrepreneurship, creation of business start-ups and open innovation approach in collaboration between universities and enterprises. The project will achieve this by developing a co-creative and supportive environment - iDEA Lab network which will encourage and foster students’ entrepreneurial intent and at the same time support open innovation approach. Specific objectives are:
• To set up, equip and network co-creative centres (iDEA labs) to support students to generate, develop and commercialize their own innovative ideas through entrepreneurship and/or open innovation
• To foster student entrepreneurship and start-up creation at university settings by improving infrastructure, entrepreneurial culture and skills
• To introduce and implement open innovation as a new form of partnership among key stakeholders in knowledge triangle in WBC
• To revise and adapt curricula to include entrepreneurial skills and problem-based learning
These objectives should be achieved through synergetic partnership of 3 RS, 3 BA and 2 ME HEIs, representing public and private sector, 9 WBC organisations representing key stakeholders (including students), 3 well known EU HEIs and 3 non-academic EU partners with extensive experience in dealing with entrepreneurship, open innovation and international projects. The principal results will include: 6 iDEA labs and their network in WBC with trained staff; developed and realized trainings for students and companies, established regional Market for ideas, developed students’ start-ups and open innovations with companies, revised and adapted curricula. These results will provide infrastructural resources necessary to secure project sustainability beyond its lifetime. Results and best practice will be actively diffused and exploited at national, regional and European level.

MAIN: Mastering innovation in Serbia through development and implementation of interdisciplinary post-graduate curricula in innovation management

The general objective of the project is to foster Serbian innovative capacity by modernizing Serbian HE system and providing sustainable source of high-quality human resources. The project will achieve this by developing and realizing interdisciplinary postgraduate curricula in the field of innovation management based on best practice from existing EU study programs and according to the Bologna requirements at Serbian HE.
The specific objectives are:
1.To develop and implement interdisciplinary PhD program in innovation management as a joint degree of 4 Serbian universities,
2.To develop and implement interdisciplinary master program in innovation management as a joint degree of 4 Serbian universities,
3.To develop and implement certified innovation management courses for industry professionals to enable career development and increase employability.
These objectives should be achieved through synergetic partnership of 3 Serbian public and 1 private university, 1 college of applied sciences, 6 organizations representing key Serbian stakeholders, 4 well known EU universities and 2 non-academic EU partners with extensive experience in dealing with innovation and curriculum development. The principal outcomes will include defined structures, research and teaching contents of curricula for joint degree PhD and master programs in innovation management, their accreditation and realization, developed and implemented set of LLL courses for professionals, updated teachers’ and trainers’ skills, introduced interdisciplinary and practical oriented teaching approach, established laboratory and virtual learning environment, published new books, realized teachers and students mobilities, and established Serbian Innovation Management Council. These results will provide infrastructural resources necessary to secure project sustainability beyond its lifetime. Results and best practice will be actively diffused and exploited at national, regional and European level.

MLS4Eng - Professional Development Courses for Engineering Management and Leadership Skills

The major aim of the project is to jointly develop and
implement professional development courses for engineering management and
leadership skills, which will address European standards for management and
leadership, as well as be built on rigorous research evidence and principles of
adult education. The professional development courses for management and
leadership skills will be modular and practice-oriented, and will overcome
skills mismatches and increase management and leadership competencies of
engineers working on managerial positions in Macedonia, and in the region
prospectively. The second aim of the project is to develop learning
environment, online courses, webinars, which will offer flexibility and will be
adapted according to learning preferences of adult.

NTTO - Needs Assessment. Strategy and Policy Development for National Technology Transfer Office

The overall aim of the project is the establishment of the National
Technology Transfer Office (NTTO) in Macedonia, beginning from the needs
analysis to the implementation of the pilot projects. All main project
activities will be implemented in the first year, whereas in the following
three years WUS Austria, together with its project partner AUSTIN
Pock+Partners, will conduct monitoring of the NTTO's activities. The
implementation of the project is divided in 5 modules. The first module
envisages development of the strategic plan including the identification of
thematic fields and target groups, whereas in the second module the technology
potential of Macedonia is being examined. Based on the conducted analysis and
assessments, the NTTO will be established as well as its operational processes,
after which its financing and funding strategy and reporting systems will be
developed. After the full establishment of the NTTO, pilot projects will be
implemented. They will allow the newly hired staff of NTTO to implement
practical projects under the supervision of the consulting team. These projects
will bring together industry and universities/research institutions to jointly
develop and implement projects in the area of TT in the specific thematic
fields. These pilot projects should initiate NTTO's activities in Macedonia and
should provide the initial boost for the enhancement of the cooperation between
universities and industry.

ONEHEALTH: Public health in the Western Balkans - improvement in the field of public health and development of a "one health" educational and scientific architecture in Western Balkan countries

The harmonization of the public health (PH) system to EU standards is
mandatory for the Western Balkan countries (BA and XK) in order to be
accepted as EU member state candidates. However, lack of knowledge,
efficient network and resources make this process slow and ineffective.
Our Project's aim is to build-up and/or improve the educational and
scientific PH architecture in the WB PC and to promote a "One Health"
approach as relatively new and modern a concept in addressing PH issues.

SportGo - How to lead a sport club to a successful future

The sportGO project focuses on the priority of supporting the implementation of EU policy documents in the field of sport and other relevant policy areas such as recommendations, guidelines, policy strategies, etc. (e.g. EU Physical Activity Guidelines, EU Guidelines on Dual Careers of Athletes, Principles on good governance in sport, etc).

The sportGO objectives are:
-improving available structures and implementation of cost-efficient governance of semi-professional and amateur sport clubs
-fostering grassroots sport activities by supporting semi-professional and amateur sport clubs in governance and enabling good conditions for their active members
-strengthening the national and regional sports governing bodies by increasing their training offers to their members and their capacity in training representatives of sport clubs
-exchanging and transfer of knowledge and knowhow related to governance and management of sport clubs from higher education institutions and training providers to sports clubs and vice versa
-on a meta-level developing social capital of youth in “healthy” sport clubs engaged in youth training.
