Selection of Students for “Experiencing Europe Serbian Young Professionals in Austria – Zoran Djindjic Internship Programme” in Belgrade
Belgrade. In its second year, up to 50 Serbian students and young professionals will have the opportunity to participate in the “Experiencing Europe” programme. Preliminary selection of participants was done from June 10th to June 17th in two rounds. The first round of selection was based on the applications form, after which around 100 applicants were invited to attend interviews.
Representatives
of the Dr Zoran Djindjic Fund, the Austrian Development Cooperation,
the WKO (The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber) and WUS Austria formed
two selection boards which undertook the selection.
Until August 2008 the WUS Austria Head Office Graz will do the matching
of selected participants with companies and institutions in Austria
based on which the final selection of the participants will be done.
Experiencing Europe: Serbian Young Professionals in Austria – Zoran Djindjic Internship Programme aims at giving excellent students and young professionals from Serbia thepossibility of gaining three months of valuable work experience in Austrian companies andpublic institutions. The programme targets final-year university students and qualified youngprofessionals. Through attending the internships, the participants are offered new perspectives for their career by establishing contacts with relevant companies and gaining initial workexperiences.
Experiencing Europe is a cooperation between the Zoran Djindjic Fund and the Austrian Development Cooperation and is implemented by WUS Austria.
The programme consists of a tailor-made educational module and an
internship module in Austrian companies and institutions. In August
2008, the selected participants will attend intensive courses on German
language and classes on European integration in Belgrade.
