Round Tables at BH Universities – Presentation of WUS Austria/ ADC Projects
Sarajevo. In the period from May 23 to June 17, 2008, WUS Austria – Sarajevo Office held a series of round tables at all BH public universities with the aim of introducing its new projects to the wider academic community.
Before each round table, WUS Austria met with university management representatives (Rectors, Vice-Rectors, Secretary Generals, etc). Managements of all BH Universities welcomed the WUS initiative and new ‘Support to Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2008 – 2011’’ program, which is financially supported by the Austrian Development Cooperation.
At eight round tables (one per university), WUS Austria presented its activities and initiatives, as well as new projects, their objectives and application procedures. Each presentation was followed by an open and thorough Q/A session where the university members could get more information on specific project and application issues.
The participants of round tables, in the majority of cases, were Faculty Deans and Vice-deans but also, because the event had an open character, members of university staff (administration, teaching staff, etc). All the participants were kindly asked to disseminate information on WUS Austria program of support to their colleagues and to refer them to WUS Austria web site www.wus-austria.org/sarajevo, containing the application forms for download as well as detailed information on new project criteria and application procedures.
The round tables aroused the interest of wider public and hence a number of media representatives covered the events.
