Series of trainings within the TEMPUS project ’’From Quality Assurance to Strategy Development (QASD)’’
Sarajevo. WUS Austria has the pleasure to inform you that from 11 – 13 March 2008, three trainings were successfully held at Center for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies in Sarajevo.
Trainings were tailored for the students, university administration and teaching staff under the titles:
- “The Role of Students in Internal Quality Assurance Processes”, 11/03/08, Sarajevo
- “The Role of Administration in Internal Quality Assurance Processes”, 12/03/08, Sarajevo
- “The Role of Teaching Staff in Internal Quality Assurance Processes”, 13/03/08, Sarajevo.
All three trainings were organized with Tempus project ’’From Quality Assurance to Strategy Development (QASD)’’ (UM_JEP-41078-2006).
Specific objectives of this project are:
- To initiate, enable, support and implement internal quality control processes at each BH University
- To plan, develop and formulate modern, student-oriented university strategies
The overall aim of the project is to contribute to a coherent and far-reaching reform of higher education in B&H in accordance with the Bologna Process and in accordance with the society and market needs. In order for this objective to be achieved, universities in B&H need to develop modern, student-oriented strategies, which will pave the path towards the university's long-term goals.

During the first three trainings, up to 150 students, administrative workers and teachers from all BH universities were educated on their specific roles and obligations in internal QA processes. QA coordinators of all BH public universities and university management representatives were present at the trainings, all three days.
Mag Oliver Vettori, Head of Office, Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration had taken a part in these trainings as an EU expert. He delivered presentations and lectures on the content and practical skills needed by each stakeholder group in the processes of university self-evaluation.
