INTEC – Kick-off meeting of a new Erasmus+ project about sustainable transportation and mobility systems in Albania and Montenegro
Graz/Austria. The project coordinator FH Joanneum organized the Kick-off meeting of „INTEC – International Engineering Competence Centres to push sustainable mobility development in Albania and Montenegro” in Graz from June 12-15, 2023. The meeting included study visits to the Joanneum Racing Team and to Styrian automotive companies such as AVL List in Graz and Pankl AG in Kapfenberg.
The project wants to boost communication, knowledge and joint projects among HEI staff, students, and stakeholders. The two main deliverables are the establishment of International Engineering Competence Centres (IECCs) at each Western Balkan HEI. These centers will be used to deliver training services on engineering with a special focus on trends, developments and challenges concerning sustainable mobility, to raise awareness on the importance of sustainable mobility and to push forward and strengthen cooperations between HEIs and national and international companies in automotive engineering
Another important deliverable is the Sustainable Mobility Online Learning Platform (SMOodle) for Blended Learning–Development of a digital learning environment for blended learning concepts.
WUS Austria is responsible for the external quality assurance of this project. This includes the participation in the quality and ethics board (QEB), which consists of 1 member of each partner institution; the development of three external QA reports (one per year) incl. recommendations; and the support in the development of the QA plan. In this role WUS Austria works closely together with the project coordinator and the German partner that is responsible for the internal quality assurance.
