DUALSCI Study visit and project meeting in Heilbronn/Germany
More than 20 professionals from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Serbia and Spain met in Heilbronn/Germany from September 26-28, 2022, to exchange experiences on dual higher education and to track progress on the implementation of the joint Erasmus+ Project - “Strengthening capacities for the implementation of dual education in BH higher education/DUALSCI”. The meeting gathered representatives from the project consortium and was hosted by DHBW, the Duale Hochschule Baden Würtemberg. During the visit, different companies were visited that are directly involved in dual programmes implemented by DHBW. In addition, different dual programmes from DHBW were presented. The visit also provided an opportunity to discuss progress in the development and implementation of dual study programmes (pilots) at the partner universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The DUALSCI project is coordinated by the University of Novi Sad and aims to improve the competencies of higher education graduates and their employability in cantons and entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is being done through the development of generic and specific models of dual education (DUALSCI model) and suggestions for a legal framework that allows for an introduction of dual education, supporting different needs and interests of students, companies and higher education institutions (HEIs) in different cantons/entities of BIH. The DUALSCI model is and will be implemented, as a pilot test, in four universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina: University of East Sarajevo, University of Sarajevo, University of Mostar, and University of Zenica.
