Presentation of Paper on Dual Higher Education at „Quality 2021“ Conference
Neum/Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 17th to 19th June, the „12th Research/Expert Conference „Quality 2021“ with international participation took place in Neum/BiH. The Conference was organized by University of Zenica. During the initial session, a keynote paper presentation was provided by WUS Austria, entitled „Analysis of Dual Higher Study Programme in Germany, Austria and Spain including Recommendations for Western Balkan Countries“. The paper was developed based on an comprehensive study developed in the DUALSCI project where fifteen dual study programmes from Austria, Germany and Spain were analysed.
The DUALSCI project is coordinated by the University of Novi Sad and aims at improving the competencies of higher education graduates and their employability in cantons and entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This will be done through the development of a generic model of dual education (DUALSCI model) and suggestions for a legal framework that allows for an introduction of dual education, supporting different needs and interests of students, companies and higher education institutions (HEIs) in different cantons/entities of BIH. The DUALSCI model will be implemented, as a pilot test, at four universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina: University of East Sarajevo, University of Sarajevo, University of Mostar, and University of Zenica.
