Artikel über die Tätigkeiten im Rahmen eines InterCap-Projekts

 

Meine Arbeit erfolgte im Rahmen des Projekts “Developing capacities together: European CSO-university networks for global learning on migration, security and sustainable development in an interdependent world (InterCap)”. Dabei habe ich die Gesellschaft für Kommunikation, Entwicklung und digitale Bildung (KommEnt) in der Entwicklung von Bausteinen und Materialien für den außerschulischen Lernort in Klagenfurt (Global Citizen Campus) unterstützt. Im Rahmen des Kooperationsprojekts „Es gibt nur eine Welt - equality lab“ im Global Citizen Campus wurde von mir ein Konzept für Workshops mit Mädchen und jungen Frauen entwickelt. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Themen Migration, soziale Ungleichheit, Bildungsgerechtigkeit, territoriale und soziale Mobilität, Identitätsentwicklung, Gender, Zugehörigkeit und Ausgrenzung sowie Diskriminierung und Menschenrechte.

 

Ich erhielt eine grundlegende Einführung in die Ziele und Grundlagen von Global Citizenship Education und des außerschulischen Lernorts von Frau Dr. Heidi Grobbauer. Das Mädchenzentrum, mit dem Leitsatz „Wir stellen Mädchen* ins Zentrum“, kannte ich bereits, da dort ein einmonatiges Praktikum von mir absolviert wurde. Es ist eine Anlaufstelle für Mädchen und junge Frauen, gleichzeitig eine Bildungseinrichtung sowie Projekt- und Innovationszentrum.

 

Die oben angeführten Themen des Workshops erfreuen sich eines hohen Bildungswertes sowie Gegenwarts- und Zukunftsrelevanz. Das Thema der Gerechtigkeit ist hochaktuell und wird auch in Zukunft eine bedeutende Rolle in sozialen, ökonomischen, politischen und umweltbezogenen Debatten spielen. Die Schere zwischen Arm und Reich driftet immer weiter auseinander und es herrschen große globale, aber auch lokale Disparitäten. Es gibt im demokratischen Denken, zu dem alle Personen angeregt werden sollten, einen Gleichheitsgrundsatz, der stets Berücksichtigung finden sollte. Zudem die Notwendigkeit einer Sensibilisierung für eine grundlegende Wertschätzung aller Menschen. Um das zu erreichen müssen auch jüngere Generationen darauf aufmerksam gemacht werden.

 

Es gilt hier, Einsichten zu generieren, wie wichtig Menschenrechtsbewusstsein ist. Dazu gehört auch die Vermittlung von Handlungskompetenz und Ermutigung zur politischen Partizipation. Ebenso ist die Stärkung der Zivilcourage sowie Anregung zu einem Perspektivenwechsel wichtig. Dies sind Ziele, die im Rahmen des von mir geplanten Workshops erreicht werden sollten. Ganz nach der Grundidee des Globalen Lernens wird dabei gleichzeitig die Sensibilisierung und Vermittlung von Methodenkompetenz berücksichtigt, damit alle Lernenden bestmöglich motiviert werden und so viel wie möglich mitnehmen können.

 

Ich bin sehr froh darüber, eine solche Chance geboten zu bekommen, da ich für mich persönlich und auch für mein künftiges Dasein als Lehrerin viele neue interessante Aspekte dieser Thematiken kennenlernte.

Article about activities within the framework of an InterCap project

 

My work was realized within the framework of the project Developing capacities together: European CSO-university networks for global learning on migration, security and sustainable development in an interdependent world (InterCap), supporting KommEnt in the development of modules and materials for the extracurricular learing-spot in Klagenfurt (Global Citizen Campus). In line with the cooperation project “There is only one world – equality lab” at the Global Citizen Campus I developed a concept for workshops with girls and young women, focusing on themes such as migration, social inequality, equitableness of education, territorial and social mobility, development of identity, gendering, social affiliation and exclusion, discrimination and human rights.

 

I was given a profound introduction into the objectives and basic principles of Global Citizenship Education as well as the extracurricular learning spot by Ms Dr. Heidi Grobbauer. I was already familiar with the Girls’ Centre with its motto “We place girls in the centre” as I had done a one-month’s internship there. It is a contact point and place of refuge for girls and young women, but at the same time it serves as an institution of education as well as a centre of projects and innovations.

 

The above mentioned themes of the workshop have a high value of educations as well as relevance for the present and the future. The theme of equitableness is highly topical and will doubtlessly play an essential role in social, economical, political and environmental debates in the future. The gap between the rich and the poor is constantly increasing and there exist immense global, but also regional disparities. Within democratic thinking, for which each and every citizen should be motivated, there is a basic principle of equality, which should be taken into consideration at all times, as well as the necessity of sensitization for a profound appreciation of all human beings. In order to achieve this aim, the attention of also the younger generation has to be raised.

 

At this point it is indispensible to generate a profound understanding for the importance of the awareness of the universal human rights. To achieve this, the ability of decision-making and responsibility, but also the encouragement for political participation, moral courage and the ability to switch perspectives have to be fostered. Those are goals, which are to be reached in the workshops planned, following the basic idea of global learning with particular focus on sensitization and conveying competences of a variety of different methods, so that learners are best motivated and can personally profit as much as possible.

 

I am very thankful to have been offered such a chance as I have definitely experienced a large variety of new and interesting aspects, which will be doubtlessly be a great help for me as a future teacher.
