HERAS+ Kick-off Conference
On November 25, 2020, the HERAS+ Kick-off Conference took place (online). After the official launch of the project by Mr. Rame Likaj, Minister of Education and Science, and H.E. Christoph Weidinger, Ambassador of Austria to Kosovo, the project was presented by Mr. Aqim Emurli, HERAS+ Team leader. In the second part of the conference, the Consortium members – WUS AT; ZSI and OeAD - were introduced and three calls for applications of HERAS+ were launched: Programmatic Partnerships (lead WUS Austria), Research Grants (lead ZSI) and PhD/Post Doc fellowships (lead OeAD). Altogether, 75 persons participated in the online conference.
The project HERAS+ - Higher Education Research and Applied Science + - aims at a more competitive and diversified public higher education and research sector in Kosovo in line with the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), European Research Area (ERA) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 and 9 related to quality assurance, economy and labour market relevance, international cooperation and the Social Dimension of higher education. The project is funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and co-financed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kosovo (MES).
