INCLUSION project meeting and final conference in Yerevan, Armenia
Yerevan/Armenia. More than 30 professionals from Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, United Kingdom and Austria participated in the final project meeting of the INCLUSION project in Yerevan on September 24, 2019. On September 25, 2019 more than 100 representatives from Ministries, Higher Education Institutions, Civil Society Organizations and other educational stakeholders participated in a final conference hosted by the American University of Armenia in Yerevan where main results and achievements from the INCLUSION project were presented. In three panel discussions, the main stakeholders presented and, jointly with the audience, reflected on different concepts and legal frameworks for inclusion (e.g. International Human Rights Framework, Social Dimension of Higher Education), aspects of teaching and practising inclusion (e.g. teaching technologies, best practices, quality assurance mechanisms) as well as visions for inclusion in the future. Among others, WUS Austria contributed to the first panel, focusing on the Social Dimension of Higher Education and how the INCLUSION project has fostered its implementation in the target countries (Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina). During breaks, posters from partner institutions were presented, visualizing the impact of the INCLUSION project at the respective institutions.
The meeting and the conference were organized in the context of the Erasmus+ Project - “Development and Implementation of Social Dimension Strategies in Armenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina through Cross-regional Peer Learning/INCLUSION”. The INCLUSION project is coordinated by the State Academy of Fine Arts in Yerevan/Armenia (SAFAA) and aims at enhancing the capacity of stakeholders in the field of higher education in Armenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina by contributing to the implementation of social dimension (SD) strategies.
