WUS Austria joined “SDG Watch Austria”
Since March 2019, WUS Austria is a member of the SDG Watch Austria network (https://www.sdgwatch.at/de/), a civil society platform committed to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG Watch Austria is a cross-sectorial network consisting of more than 150 civil society and non-profit organisations working in alliance with the private and academic sector.
SDG Watch is in regular contact with relevant policy makers on different SDG related topics. In 2019, the focus will be on the Austrian Parliament. Austria will have its first VNR (voluntary national review of the SDGs) in 2020.
On April 12, 2019 WUS Austria participated, together with more than 45 professionals from different non-governmental organisations, in the bi-annual platform meeting of SDG Watch Austria and its thematic initiative on education. The annual SDG Forum – presumably in November 2019 – will provide the opportunity for a broad multi-stakeholder dialogue on the implementation of the SDGs in Austria.
