HERAS organized workshop on “Implementation of an applied study programme approach in Kosovo”
On 12 June 2019, HERAS organized a Workshop “Implementation of an applied study programme approach in Kosovo”. This activity aims to support the Higher Education System and Institutions to further develop structures, capacities and procedures needed for the implementation of an applied study programme approach in Kosovo. This includes support to organizational development (strategies, capacities, procedures), cooperation with local enterprises, quality assurance of internships, identification of structural obstacles to an applied study programme approach, and employability facilitation through development of service delivery for the private sector (including business plans and pricing).
During the workshop through the group work the existing gaps and measures needed for strengthening an applied study program approach in Kosovo in different areas of the system were identified by MEST, HEIs, Industry representatives, and other stakeholders.
The workshop acted as a starting point for the development of a road map for the implementation of an applied study program approach in Kosovo, based on the findings from the workshop. It will also identify ways and concrete steps to further promote and create a conducive environment for implementing an applied science approach in Kosovo.
