UNITED: Kick-off meeting of a new Erasmus+ project about the Automotive Industry in three South-East Asian countries
Graz/Austria. The project coordinator FH Joanneum organized the Kick-off meeting of „UNITED - Engineering Knowledge Transfer Units to Increase Students’ Employability and Regional Development” and a subsequent two-day study visit to Styrian automotive companies such as Pankl Racing Systems and Magna Steyr from March 11-14, 2019.
The project wants to improve the current situation and to assure sustainable development of the automotive industry in Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The main objectives are to enhance university-business cooperation, to improve teaching quality and to strengthen accessibility and collaboration between the EU and the selected South-East Asian countries. The kick-off meeting was very useful since representatives of all project partners from Austria, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia and Thailand discussed the activities of the first project year such as the upcoming capacity building trainings as well as the financial and project management in detail in order to find a common understanding of the expected outcomes.
