InterCAP: International workshop for teacher trainers in Graz, November 26-30, 2018
Graz/Austria. About 15 professionals from Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Germany, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and the UK participated in an international training for teacher trainers (multipliers) in Graz, November 26-30, 2018, where training modules developed within the InterCap project were tested and introduced to participants for further replication. The following modules were included in the training: 1.) Migration, Security and Sustainable Development in an interdependent world: Theory and Practice; 2.) Development Education and Teachers’ Training (regional and national context); 3.) Participatory Theatre Methods for Global Learning with reference to Theatre for Living and 4.) Train-the-Trainer Pedagogies.
The training was organised in the context of the DEAR Project - “INTERCAP - Raising public awareness of development issues and promoting development education in the European Union”. The InterCap project is coordinated by CARDET (Cyprus) and aims to enhance critical understanding of migration and sustainable development, in the context of SDGs, amongst those in teacher education, in order to increase comprehension of the relationship between the interdependent world, (in)-security and risk.
