InterCap project kick off meeting
On 18 and
19 of January the coordinator CARDET from Cyprus hosted the kick off meeting
for the project InterCap: “Developing capacities together:
European CSO-university networks for global learning on migration, security and
sustainable development in an interdependent world.” The overall objective of
the project is to enhance critical understanding of migration and sustainable
development, in the context of SDGs, amongst those in teacher education, in
order to increase comprehension of the relationship between the interdependent
world, (in)-security and risk.
The meeting in Nicosia gathered 13 partners from 10 different EU countries who presented an overview of the activities that will take place over the 3 years of project duration. Most attention was dedicated to the first activities to follow: investigate current state through literature review and organize a field research with 2 focus groups to collect the needs, perceptions and expectation from relevant stakeholders. Participants had also the opportunity to discuss the Curriculum for development education teacher training which will be designed in the first project year.
Outputs, work done, and progress made will be presented in October in Lithuania at the 1st InterCap Annual Conference.
