Launching of the research study on “Mainstreaming human rights into curriculum development”
Prishtina. The research study has been published with HERAS support whereas drafted by Mr. Besnik Loxha, Academic Development Office within University of Prishtina. According to the author of the study, Mr. Loxha, the purpose of this research is first to present the status quo of the inclusion of human rights in the curricula as a theoretical and fundamental aspect of advocacy and awareness raising of society on this issue and secondly, to present a factual and realistic situation how much the institution addresses human rights issues.
On the other hand, Mr. Aqim Emurli, Project Leader, stressed that they will follow-up on the findings and the recommendations of the research study with regard to the mainstreaming of the human rights into curriculum development. This will be achieved in close cooperation with the senior management of the University as well as with the engagement of other relevant stakeholders at all levels.
The event took place on 15 February 2018 in front of Ministry officials, higher education institution officials, international representatives, civil society members as well as other deemed colleagues and participants.
