HERAS workshop on “Applying a Human Rights Based Approach in Higher Education”
Prishtina. On 4th and 5th of July, HERAS organised a workshop on “Applying Human Rights Based Approach in Higher Education”. The aim of the workshop was to address central aspects of higher education from a human rights perspective, including curriculum development, institutionalization of human rights at HEIs and development of teaching materials. The event was chaired and attended by high level speakers from MEST, UP, the Human Rights Center at UP and experts in the field from Austria and Kosovo. The workshop also aimed to promote the implementation of the Social Dimension of Higher Education in Kosovo in line with the Bologna Process. In this context, best practices from Europe could be shared and discussed.
The workshop was attended by around 40 participants from different institutions including MEST, Public Universities, different NGO’s, Students Parliament and others. The event proved a platform for vivid discussions and the exchange of experiences from different perspectives.
