QinR: Final event in Budva, Montenegro
Budva/Becici. The final event of the EU project "Quality in Research" took place from 1.-3. October 2014 in Budva/Becici, Montenegro. During the event the consortium discussed the working conditions of young scientific researchers at Western Balkan universities and worked out ideas and concrete suggestions for improvements. The event was also attended by a large number of young academics from the participating WB universities.
On Day I the partners and the young researchers invited to the event discussed the situation, working conditions and perspectives of young scientists in the Western Balkan region. The results of the group discussion were presented and further discussed in a panel session following the working groups. Prior to the final event in spring 2014 a large number of young scientists had the opportunity to participate in a research visit to the EU partner institutions of the project: University of Münster, University of Vaasa, and University of Paris 8.
The panel discussion was moderated by WUS Austria alongside the following questions: How can we improve the working environment of YSR at university level and at national level? How can we better promote the work of YSR at university level and beyond (nationally and internationally)? How can we advance the career perspectives of YSRs at university level and at national level? The minuets of the panel discussion will be published at the project website.
On the Day II the consortium met for a final get-together to present the results of the project and to discuss the final reporting.
The agenda also included a social programme to use the opportunity of this last meeting to celebrate the results of the project amongst the partners.
