EQADE: HEI Training in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Banja Luka. Within the EQADE: “Embedding Quality Assurance in Doctoral Education” project, training for HEI staff on internal QA in PhD was held at the premises of the University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Economics, February 3-5, 2014. The welcome was given by the Vice-Rector for International Relations at the University of Banja Luka, Mrs. Valerija Saula. Following the welcoming words, a presentation of the processes of PhD study selection was held by professor Hans-Gunther Sonntag from Heidelberg Medical Faculty.
Some of the focal topics included in the Agenda of the two and a half day training were:
- Presentations of PhD pilot programs by 8 public BH universities
- Self-evaluation – EU experiences in self-evaluation
- BH Standards in PhD
- Methodology of self-evaluation
- Writing of self-evaluation reports
This important event is the beginning of the implementation of the Standards that are essential for a high-quality implementation and management of doctoral studies (third cycle study) at eight public universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
