Galati. Introductory Training for External Assessors and the Third Meeting of the Project Consortium were held in Galati, Romania, March 28 – 31, 2013. A warm welcome and introduction to the training was led by Prof. Moraru, Prof. Praisler, and Prof. Ripa, the host representatives from the University Dunarea de Jos of Galati. The attendees of the training were the representatives from each and every EQADE project partner institution.
A particular focus of the training was the “Criteria and Indicators for Internal and External Quality Assurance in Doctoral Education” document which will lay the foundation for launching one pilot program in Doctoral Education in line with the Salzburg Principles and the Bologna Process at each BiH public university. Many questions and challenges regarding the nature of institutional implementation of the pilot programs remain open, nonetheless, first results are expected in December 2013 subsequent to the training for internal experts in Tuzla. It is anticipated that the newly established Doctoral programs commence in fall 2014.
The 3rd Meeting of the Project Consortium was held on October 30, 2013, allowing for a constructive and fruitful discussion and an opportunity to converse about the action plan and partner responsibilities in the third project year.
