CUP: Information Day held at the University of Prishtina

Prishtina. In the frame of TEMPUS project “Competence@University Prishtina”, Information Day took place at Rectorate of the University of Prishtina (UP), May 26th, 2011.

The Information Day at the University of Prishtina (UP) was a public event where the concept of competence based training, the project itself and good practice examples  were presented to the academic community of the UP and to interested stakeholders.

 

The first part of the event consisted of welcome and opening words given by:

 

• Prof. Dr. Mujë Rugova, Rector of the University of Prishtina
• Prof. Dr. Naim Hasani, Director of Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Republic of Kosova
• Mag. Rupert Beinhauer, University of Applied Sciences FH Joanneum Graz, Austria
• Mr. sc. But Dedaj, WUS Austria Office in Prishtina

 

The second part consisted of presentations on competence based teaching:

 

• Internationalization of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Dr. Naser Mrasori
• Matching competences in higher education and economy, Mag. Rupert Beinhauer
• Main findings from the accreditation process of the UP’s study programs, Prof. Dr. Ferdije Zhushi
• Our experience from the project COMPETENCE - Matching competences in higher education and economy: From competence catalogue to strategy and curriculum development, Mag. Nina Besirevic
• Summary of recommendations on linking higher education and economy, Mr. sc. But Dedaj and M.Sc. Mjellma Carabregu
