CUP: Study visit conducted at the FH Joanneum
Graz, Austria. In the frame of TEMPUS project: “COMPETENCE at the University of Prishtina”, a study visit took place at the FH Joanneum Graz, in Austria during May 11th-15th, 2011.
The study visit comprised of a delegation of 10 people, mainly representatives and professors from the University of Prishtina, as well as representatives from WUS Austria.
The Objectives of the study visit were to get familiar with:
• Gaining an overview of competence based teaching at the FH Joanneum;
• Examples of QA Procedures at FHJ;
• Key Issues of QA at the FHJ;
• Information Day Preparation;
• Task Distribution;
• Presentation of the University Governance;
• Development of methodology and tools for assessing the match between skills and competences;
• Recommendations from the FH Joanneum for the curricula adaption at the UP;
• Overview-Strategic Planning.
The aim of the project is to introduce a competence centre at the UP, which will act as a service centre for students and staff and will with its activities directly contribute to quality assurance and to the development of partnerships with enterprises. The developed competence catalogue and information system will make education at the university more transparent and accessible. It will link the worlds of work and education through Tempus and support the development of life long learning.
