PhD@UP Study Visit held in Munich, Germany
Munich, Germany. Within the Tempus Project: “PhD in Food Science and Technology and Creating Capacity for Reforming PhD studies at University of Prishtina”, “PhD@UP”, the first workshop for Developing the Curricula for the PhD studies, took place at the Technical University of Munich from April 6th – 8th, 2011.
The delegation from the University of Prishtina consisted of dean and professors of all three participating faculties: Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary, Medicine and Mathematical and Natural Sciences, partners from University of Granada as well as WUS Austria.
The sessions started with presentations of the demands for the Doctoral Degree at TUM, continuing with the workshop on PhD program development including a discussion about the needed laboratory equipments. They also had the opportunity to visit different departments of the TU Munich Campus Weihenstephan.
The project aims at supporting Curricular Reform and Capacity Building at University of Prishitna with active involvement of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, State Accreditation Agency of Kosovo and Student Unions. It focuses on reforming PhD curricula in accordance with the Bologna process and up to date European Standards.
