The Seminar „Quality Assurance at University of Zenica“
The Seminar „Quality Assurance at University of Zenica“ was held on March 30th at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica. This was the last in a series of eight seminars held at all BH Universities in the frame of the Project „Structural Development of Quality Assurance at Universities in B&H“ financed by the Government of Austria and Liechtenstein. The seminar was opened by the Rector of the University of Zenica, Sabahudin Ekinovic, Phd. In the first part of the seminar, University representatives presented the situation regarding quality assurance at the University of Zenica: Vice-rector for Science, Development and International Cooperation, Darko Petkovic, PhD; QA Manager at the University of Zenica, Ibrahim Plancic, MA; QA Manager at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Sabahudin Jasarevic, MA. In the second and third part of the seminar, EU experts shared their experiences with the participants. Three experts from the University Primorska in Kopar, Slovenia were engaged in this seminar - Slavko Dolinsek, PhD; Karmen Kern Pipan, MA and Aleksander Janes. Amongst others, they gave presentations on Internal and External Evaluation, the ROSE Methodology and the EFQM Excellence Model.
About 85 representatives of the University of Zenica participated in the seminar from whom we have received very valuable feedback. A press conference was organized at the Rectorate, so the event was coverd by several media. After completing a series of seminars at all eight BH universities, other activities foreseen in the project will follow: study visits of QA Managers to EU Universities, printing guidelines for each University and others.
