Career Fair held in Prishtina
Prishtina. Within the framework of the TEMPUS Project “Fostering the Quality Culture at the University of Prishtina” (QC @ UP), a ‘Career Fair’ was organized on 8th December 2010 at the National Library in Prishtina by the Career Development Centre of the University of Prishtina.
Around 25 institutions and interested parties, including WUS Austria, came together to inform students about their possibilities for practical work and employment. WUS Austria presented all its projects which focus on students' internship and career development opportunities such as: the “The Pilot Business and Economics Internship Program” and “Cross-Sector Internship Program”, which offers students the opportunity to conduct internships at different public and private institutions in Kosovo.
The Vice-Rector for Teaching and Research of the University of Prishtina, Prof. Dr. Bajram Berisha, during his welsome speech, mentioned the commitment of University of Prishtina to offer qualitative studies to its students. “This is an objective and challenge for the University of Pristhina and at the same time, an important task that lies ahead in order to be up-to-date with Western universities and in line with the Bologna Process," said Vice-Rector Berisha.
This is the first time a Career Fair was organized at the UP. Participants expressed their wish for this Fair to become a tradition in the upcoming years.
