UN Headquarters in Montenegro - start of construction work
Podgorica. The preliminray building works of the planned UN Headqurters are advancing. The architect Daniel Fügenschuh has been in Podgorica these last couple of days to discuss the implementation of the construction plans.
He met with the project team and the construction company at the building site to discuss the advancement of the preliminary building works and the planning for the upcoming construction phases.
With the implementation of this construction project the Republic of Montenegro shows its commitment to provide shared premises for the UN agencies that are present in Podgorica. The building was designed along ecological and sustainable development lines and is going to be the first fully environmentally friendly UN headquarter in the world.
