QA@PHEP- Information days
Prishtina. Information days were held at ten Private Higher Education Providers (PHEP) in Kosovo from 11th -15th October 2010. The events were organised by WUS Austria in cooperation with the project partners, which inter alia include the Kosovo Accreditation Agency.
The Information days were held at each PHEP individually, consisiting of four parts and 2-3 hours each. The Agenda consisted of the following parts:

Self-presentations of the hosting institution on management, structures, QA unit, staff and strategy – presented either by institution management or QA officer

Project presentation and information on Quality Assurance basics and current trends within European Higher Education Area – But Dedaj/ Almir Kovacevic/ Mjellma Carabregu/ Alfred Marleku WUS Austria

Presentation of University of Bucharest on experiences regarding Quality Assurance (QA) and internal organization of the institution – Prof. Mariana Mocanu (presentation held at some of the institutions)

Steps to be followed after the accreditation of an institution (with focus on active student involvement in the processes) – Prof. Ferdije Zhushi and Prof. Basri Muja, Kosovo Accreditation Agency
We would like to thank Prof. Mariana Mocanu from the Polytechnical University in Bucharest who has offered her own expertise and the experiences drawn from her own university to round up the majority of the events.
The Information days at the PHEP are considered an important contribution regarding awareness raising on the issue of Quality Assurance at higher education providers, especially amongst students who are often uninformed about processes related to the accredidation of and general QA processes at their institution. The participation of managerial and teaching staff and students in the events ensured a wide spectrum of topics to be addressed and was guarantee for some lively discussions.
