Quality Assurance in Montenegro - One-day seminar on teaching skills
Podgorica. One-day training seminar on Teaching Skills named “Designing and Structuring Courses and Communication Skills” was held on 10th of March 2010 at the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Montenegro. It is the first out of three one-day seminars on Teaching Skills that will be organized within the “Quality Assurance Project”.
Director of the QA Center at the University of Montenegro, Professor Mitar Misovic was the moderator at the seminar held by the EU expert Monika Heis, the guest lecturer at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niksic. The seminar was attended by the vice deans for teaching of all faculties of the University of Montenegro, as well as the members of the quality assurance
EU expert Monika Heis presented goals in teaching, definition of teaching, methods of teaching, aspects of communication related to teaching etc. all of which is supposed to help in raising quality of teaching at the University of Montenegro.
The seminar was attended by the director of the QA Center at the University of Montenegro Professor Mitar Misovic and around twenty participants of the University staff and professors. A number of questions were raised and issues on designing and structuring courses and communication skills discussed.
“Designing and Structuring Courses and Communication Skills” seminar was organized as one of the activities which are intended to take place under the programme „Support to Higher Education in Montenegro 2007-2010“ financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation. Next seminar focusing on teaching skills will take place on 23rd of April 2010.
