Crystal Award 2009 goes to “Experiencing Europe”
Belgrade: WUS Austria proudly announces that the “Crystal Award” for best youth project in Serbia in 2009 was given to the Zoran Djindjic Fund for “Experiencing Europe - Serbian Young Serbian Professionals in Austria - Zoran Đinđić Internship Program”, a project that is designed and implemented under the auspices of the Dr. Zoran Đinđić Fund, prepared and implemented by WUS Austria, and financed by the ADC (Austrian Development Cooperation).
“Experiencing Europe: Serbian Young Professionals in Austria – Zoran Đinđić Internship Programme” aims at supporting the socio-economic development of Serbia by increasing the employability of the Serbian youth on the one hand and the understanding of European integration on the other.
43 different projects had applied for this award. The decisive factor for selecting “Experiencing Europe” was, according to the chairman of the jury, Danilo Milić, Olf Palme Centre Coordinator for Serbia, that the project promotes cooperation and contributions of individuals, civil society organi zations, institutions and the business sector, as well as international cooperation.
The “Cristal Award” is provided by Olof Palme International Centre, Stari Grad Municipality, Berlit z Language School, the Agency for Cooperation with NGOs and European Integration, the Belgrade Office for Youth and the Ministry for Youth and Sports.
