Innovative Project Ideas - New projects selected following the second call for applications
Podgorica. The Selection Committee convened in WUS Austria Podgorica Office on Wednesday 25th of November 2009 in order to select the best applications for Innovative Project Ideas in the Field of Academic Cooperation and Exchange between Austrian and Montenegrin Higher Education Institutions. The project is being implemented within the framework of WUS Austria programme: “Support to Higher Education in Montenegro 2007-2010”, which is financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation.
Six applications were received until the second call deadline 31st of September 2009. The decision was made by the Selection Committee consisting of the representatives of the Austrian Development Cooperation Mr Gerhard Schaumberger, representative of the University of Montenegro Ms Mira Vukcevic, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and WUS Austria Ms Ivana Zivaljevic and Ms Mladenka Tesic.
The Selection Committee decided to support the following projects:
1. No. 09/2009, “Methods of DaF/DaZ – Contrasts in theory and practice in an intercultural approach”, coordinated by Jelena Knezevic, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Montenegro;
2. No. 11/2009, “Systematic and Molecular Genetic Assessment of Aquatic Biodiversity in Montenegro (II part)”, coordinated by Danilo Mrdak, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Montenegro;
3. No. 12/2009, “Jazz Language Application and Communication in the Repertory Ensemble”, coordinated by Vladimir Bockarjov, Academy of Music, University of Montenegro.
Projects which are supported through the Innovative Project Ideas in the Field of Academic Cooperation and Exchange between Austrian and Montenegrin Higher Education Institutions will be realised until November 2010.
Following the great interest for the project among Montenegrin teaching staff and students, two calls were open, when 13 applications were received altogether. The selection of eligible applications after two calls (first from 24th December 2008 to 31st March 2009, and second call from 15th May to 30th September 2009) will result in seventeen exchange visits including 24 teaching staff and 55 students from Austria and Montenegro.
