BCC 2006 in Vienna, Austria Balkan Case Challenge 2006 was officially closed on 1 st of June in the premises of the Austrian Trade (WKÖ)
After 8 months of hard work and preparations, WUS
Austria takes great pride in emphasizing that the BCC 2006 in Vienna
was a great success – especially because it took place in Austria for
the first time. According to the feedback we have received from all
parties involved in the implementation of the project (partners,
sponsors and the participants), the BCC 2006 has been a great platform
for knowledge exchange and – what is even more important – a threshold
for future career opportunities for 145 students, thanks to the fact
that the event was enriched by introducing the Job Fair / Career Day
for SEE. The Job Fair took place on the 1 st of June at the Austrian
Trade (WKÖ) where around thirty Austrian companies presented themselves
to the BCC participants for recruitment possibilities. The Job Fair was organized in cooperation with the Austrian Trade (WKÖ).
The benchmarks of the achievement in the BCC 2006 are: 800 applications
received, 145 participants, 34 awarded winners, 40 partners of the BCC
2006, 30 companies present at the Job Fair.
Many participants have stated in their evaluation forms that they most liked the international character of the event, meeting new friends from the region, the general atmosphere, the city of Vienna and the professional organization of the event. We thank all the participants for their interest and effort they have invested in solving complex cases which were presented to them.
For the first time, the BCC event was held in the capital of Austria thanks to the support of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs (BMaA) through the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). WUS Austria hereby expresses the sincerest gratitude to all its partners, both from Austria as well as from the region of SEE.
