Belgrade. WUS Austria Belgrade Office organized a seminar on linking Serbian HE institutions with local labour market (seminar venue: Grand hotel and Sunny Heights conference center, Kopaonik, Serbia). The aim of the seminar was to cover topics related to linking HE and economy as well as instruments for establishment of that link, thus facilitating the implementation of supported MSDP projects (for some basic facts related to MSDP program click here). This seminar leaned to the first one held in March 2009, and is a step forward by covering major topic of putting labour market oriented curricula into practice.
The seminar brought together the lecturers from supported projects along with the university representatives, EU and local experts, and representatives of the government and labour market partner companies (for the list of participants click here).
On the first day (for the agenda of the seminar click here) several plenary sessions were organized. During these sessions the participants had an opportunity to hear about the experiences from EU and the country (for the experts’ presentations click here) and to obtain additional information through open discussions.
On the second day, the participants were engaged in discussions through their respective working groups. The group work was focused on more direct and practical approach by dealing with various relevant issues and tools for linking HE and economy. Working groups were set up according to the subjects of their courses:

The work on these topics provided necessary information and concrete tools for the implementation and quality assurance of Master programs supported through MSDP.
Furthermore, it leads to developing conclusions, concrete tasks and recommendations (for the outcome of participants’ evaluations click here).
Members of the organizing committee would like to express their gratitude to all participants for their efforts, great presentations and fruitful and vivid discussions.
