Steering Committee of the Business Start Up Center of the University of Prishtina
The opportunities of offering support to start up
businesses to the students and recent graduates of the University of
Prishtina (UP) were issues addressed at the meeting which took place at
the premises of the Technical Faculty Building of the University of
Prishtina, on November 6, 2006 organized by the Business Start – Up
Centre staff.
Experts and persons from the business community
were present, together with partners from Austria, Germany, other
countries in the region and representatives of the Prime Minister
Office, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the Ministry
of Economics and Finance, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the
Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare, the Ministry of Agriculture,
Forestry and Rural Development, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and
Sports, the Riinvest Institute, the Kosova Chamber of Commerce etc.
In this meeting the opportunities of developing partnerships between
the University of Prishtina and private businesses in the frame of
turning ideas into concrete business initiatives by the UP students
were addressed.
Finally, this is an opportunity for exchange of experience, ideas and
good practices in the regional and European level.
Financial support for this project is provided by the EU funded TEMPUS Program, implemented by the EU partners (University of Leoben, University of Göttingen, and Austin, Pock and Partners) leaded by WUS-Austria, and also supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
