Serbia Case Challenge
Belgrade. We are very pleased to inform you that Serbia Case Challenge was organized from April 25-26 at the premises of National Assembly of Republic of Serbia.
The competition involved students from Universities in Serbia that competed in four different disciplines:
- Business Case Competition,
- Information Communication Technology Competition
- Law Moot Court
- Model European Council
The competition was supported by some prestigious organizations and companies: Dr Zoran Djindjic Fund, VIP, “Kolarac” - centre for foreign languages, DELTA DMD, International law office “Scoenherr” in cooperation with Moravčević, Vojinović and Zdravković attorneys at law.
This year Serbia Case Challenge consisted of three components:
- Trainings
- Competition
- Recruitment event – presentations of the partner companies
During the first day of the event students attended intensive trainings:
- The presentation skills training was prepared by Mr. Saša Marijanović and career coaching training by Mr Marko IlIć, both from Carlsberg company. Participants from all four disciplines attended these two trainings, and also had a chance to hear more about Carlsberg and employment opportunities.
- Afterwards participants attended competition trainings and learned more about case study method. Business competition training was organized by Miss Marija Babić (winner of Serbia Case Challenge 2006), Model European Council training was prepared by Milica Saračević (The EU integration office) and Ivana Ponjavaić (European movement in Serbia, winner of Serbia Case Challenge 2007 and 2008),
- LMC training was conducted by Mr Dragan Mihajlović (former BCC participant, Executive director of Crown Prince Alexander Foundation for Culture an Education) and
- ICT training by Radovan Jovanović (SAP, winner of BCC ICT competition in 2006).
Competition part took place on the second day of the event, April 26th. Students with great enthusiasm competed and presented their solutions in front of the jury panels and judges consisted out of company representatives, university professors and teaching assistants and experts in the respective fields.
In the evening closing ceremony partners’ presentations were held in the plenary room and the reception hall of National Assembly of Republic of Serbia. Partners of SCC 09 had the opportunity to address participants, to present their companies and employment opportunities.
The winners were announced after the partners’ presentation and Miss Jasmin Moser, BCC coordinator from WUS Austria Head Office in Graz, officially closed the competition. Winners of Serbia Case Challenge directly qualified to the final Balkan Case Challenge competition which is going to be organized in Vienna July 6-11 2009.
