Celebrating Europe Day in Belgrade
Belgrade. On Sunday, 9th of May a celebration of Europe Day was organised in Belgrade. A series of events took place in various venues and one of it - in which WUS Austria Belgrade Office, together with representatives of Austrian Cultural Forum, Austrian Institute, Austrian Embassy and Austria Library had a share in - was the “European Street” event.
Having in mind Serbia’s future in the European Union, popular Belgrade Street Knez Mihailova was transformed into the European Street on this day and all EU countries had their presentations on benches sited on this street. Visitors could find out more about each country, its specifics and culture, and also about various projects and activities that organizations of that country have to offer to Serbian citizens. WUS Austria Belgrade Office used this opportunity to promote its projects and the organisation itself, and many of the visitors were very interested to learn more about it.
