Presentation of the "Guide for Grantees" to the DDS project coordinators 20.02.2009, WUS Austria Sarajevo office
The implementation of WUS Austria’s Degree Development Structure (DDS) project, implemented within WUS Austria’s programme "Austrian Support to Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina 2008 – 2011", financed by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), officially commenced in January 2009 with the signing of the contracts with BiH faculties/universities for the implementation of four new study programmes.
With the aim of enabling smooth implementation of the project, WUS Austria developed a document, "Guide for Grantees", detailing all project implementation procedures. Therefore, WUS Austria Sarajevo Office organized a workshop for all four of its project coordinators and their associates in order to present and further explain all the necessary procedures.
Agenda:
- Development of II and III degrees in Europe– needs and priorities; WUS Austria approach to higher education reform in the SEE - presentation
- Presentation of the "Guide for Grantees" document – implementationof DDS project activities – procedures, documentation, timeframes, and financial procedures

The participants very much welcomed the organisation of the workshop. The workshop was evaluated as very useful since it helped them to better understand as well as to clarify some of the issues regarding the project implementation.
