"Quality Assurance System of B-H Universities" Sarajevo, 25th - 26th January, 2006
WUS Austria organized a professional Seminar named
"Quality Assurance System of B-H Universities" for the representatives
of the entire academic community in B&H on January 25th and 26th
2006 at hotel Grand in Sarajevo. The Seminar was organized within the
framework of the Contract for the program "Support to Higher Education
in B&H 2004/2005". The seminar was supported by the Austrian
Development Agency (ADA).
Apart from organizing the seminar, WUS Austria used this occasion to deliver a special award planned within the framework of the project CDP+ through the program "Support to Higher Education in B&H 2004/2005". The award was delivered for the best individual project which had the most influence on the development of higher education. The awarded CDP+ Project was "Surface Mine Planning and Design Mining Survey" from the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering, University of Tuzla with its Coordinator dr. Tihomir Knezicek. The awardee received a financial award in the amount of 1000 EUR. . see photo gallery
Around 130 representatives from all eight B-H Universities took part in the seminar. The feedback we received was very valuable. The participants stated that the seminar was very useful and that it gave them a good introduction and overview of Quality Assurance which is still very new and unknown at B-Hs Universities. Experts from Austria and local experts managed to successfully mediate and convey the very complex subject matter to the participants.
