Presentation of grants provided by the Federal Ministry of Science and Research of the Republic of Austria
Belgrade. On Monday, June 23rd, representatives of ASO Sofia organization (Austrian Science and Research Liaison Office in Sofia) and WUS Austria Belgrade Office presented four grants for research stays in Austria provided by the Federal Ministry of Science and Research of the Republic of Austria.
The presentation took place at the Rectorate of Belgrade University kindly hosted by the Vice-Rector for Education Ms. Neda Bokan. Ms. Zlatka Pandeva and Mr. Martin Felix Gajdusek presented Ernst Mach Grants while Ms. Milica Zujko presented the programme One-Month Visits to Austria for University Graduates.Ernst Mach Grants is an Austrian grant scheme available worldwide and open to all fields of research. The grant scheme provides up to 4 month research stays in Austria for PhD students or recently awarded PhD’s not older than 35 years to conduct research in Austria (library, laboratory, advise, etc.). One-Month Visits to Austria for University Graduates programme offers university professors and assistants, final-year Master students and PhD students from Serbia the possibility to spend one month at Austrian universities working on their research in cooperation with the Austrian colleagues. The aim of these grants is support to obtaining knowledge and useful experience in professional fields and knowledge transfer between experts from different countries.
The presentation was successful, many students, faculty officials and media representatives were present, and the information about this event was reported by different media. After this presentation the interest for the “One-Month Visits” programme is expected to increase.
