Project description
The internship program for Business and Economics is designed to provide students with an opportunity to apply classroom learning in the work place and gain practical employment experience.
The internship will help students discover their major field of interest, and also clarify the specific job in which they would like to be employed. The internship will also offer employers a preview of prospective candidates for employment.
The Business and Economics Internship Program will be conducted in close cooperation with the Faculty of Economics of the University of Prishtina (UP), American University of Kosova (AUK), Ministries of the Government of Kosova and private organizations. The program is financed by USAID Kosovo Private Enterprise Program(KPEP) and implemented by WUS Austria.
The main objectives of the program are:
To offer an opportunity for students to apply theory into practice at the wor place
To create linkages between jobseekers and employers
To assure that the intern has worthwhile educational experience
To give recommendation for institutionalizing the internship program Kosovo wide.
From the program 10 selected students through an open call will do internships at the following institutions: Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Kosovo Customs and USAID Kosovo Private Enterprise Program.
The Business and Economics Internship Program is financed by the USAID Kosovo PrivateEnterprise Program and implemented by WUS Austria. Duration of the project is seven months.
