Project description

The objectives of the project are

1) an analysis of the situation in Korogocho,

2) Training of social workers in Nairobi

3) Teaching life skills to young mothers from the slums.

 

Further sub-objectives of the project are:

a) Literature search on the previous situation with regard to the slums in Nairobi - Basis for the preparation of a guideline for social workers,

b) conducting two to three focus group discussions; in German/English or, if necessary, in the first language of the participants - focus on social workers,

c) preparation of a guideline,

d) Capacity building of 30 social workers in Nairobi,

e) Outreach work of 70 young mothers from the slums in Nairobi.
