Project description
Sustainable transportation and mobility systems are important pre-conditions to achieve our global climate targets. There is a large potential to use all kinds of vehicles efficiently. New modes of transport and innovative technologies (e.g., electric vehicles) provide future opportunities, considering their environmental and socio-economic impacts, and will drive the innovativeness. The aim of INTEC is to boost communication, knowledge and joint projects among HEI staff, students, and stakeholders. Awareness on importance and efforts related to the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and particularly of the sustainable development goal (SDG) “Sustainable Mobility and Transport” is raised.
The two main deliverables are:
1) Establishment of International Engineering Competence Centres (IECCs) at each Western Balkan (WEB) HEI
- To deliver training services on engineering with a special focus on trends, developments and challenges concerning sustainable mobility
- To raise awareness on the importance of sustainable mobility among different target groups (companies, businesses, organizations, students, citizens)
- To push forward and strengthen cooperations between WEB-HEIs and national and international companies in automotive engineering.
2) Creation of Sustainable Mobility Online Learning Platform (SMOodle) for Blended Learning
- Development of a digital learning environment for blended learning concepts used during the Train-the-trainer Modules and internal Train-the-trainer Sessions to educate INTEC Ambassadors, and the IECC Joint Workshops to teach trainees of companies, students and other target groups.
